Altec 902-8a Midrange Driver. Condition is "Used"
Here is a SINGLE altec 902-8a midrange driver. Possibly used as a rolled off tweeter... but if you are looking at this you know what this is...
Has a tangerine phase plug, securely glued in place. The aluminum? diaphragm looks original and in fine condition, but look carefully at pics to confirm. This was taken apart as the screws were missing paint and have a little rust in the slots. There is a felt dampener inside, but no centering ring and other stuff like in B models.
The sound is clean and crisp when hooked up, but this is WITHOUT a horn... it needs a horn for range for sure...
This has the earlier 7/8”hole. The rubber magnet cover looks decent but dirty. The magnet is in one piece.
This tested 7.2-7.7 ohms.
the foilcal decal is dented/scratched near the serial number (03560). The red cap on the positive terminal is not stock. It feels like a rubber and is glued on. The black one has a scuff mark.
Sold as is shown. This is a used item and has dirt and scratches. Please inspect pics and ask questions before purchase. I can send pics or do further testing if wanted.
