1920’s Original Vintage Velvet Fisherman Style Hat.
This style of hat was known to be a fisherman style due to the resemblance to the same outdoor version. The hat is a rust colored silk velvet. Folds of velvet adorn the forehead portion which are softly gathered at the sides. There are a series of pleats creating the fisherman effect. It measures 22” around the inside edge. The label reads Salon Justine Paris Bridgeport. Stylistically this hat resists the typical cloche look but was definitely popular during the era.
There is one dark mark where a hat pin was probably located.
