1930's Original Vintage Blue Straw Hat with Flowers

Description

This hat is made from finely woven straw. It is navy blue with a shallow crown and the velvet bow in the front. The brim is wider on the sides and smaller in the front and back. The front brim has been tacked up to the crown to create a smooth transition to the side brim.  What makes this hat is a flap that goes over one ear that is decorated with small velvet flowers and leaves. The opposite side has a very small plain flap. The underside of the brim has a narrow wire covered in light blue fabric.
The hat measures 23".
It's my opinion that perhaps some starch has been applied to this hat at some point in its life. That has left some residue on the hat in spots. The light blue underwire has spots of shredding and the end of the wire is exposed in the back. See photos.
