1978 Pontiac Trans Am – Black on black, T-Tops, numbers matching. Pontiac 400, Turbo 350 automatic. Two owner car, clean title.Perfect, reliable driver quality car. Just inspected.
Original owner purchased new in 78 as a daily driver. Went into storage in the mid 90’s. I purchased in 2006 with 72,000 original miles from a dealer who flipped it. Despite the overall good condition, my plan was to do a complete restoration. Never got around to it. Have other interests so I am looking to sell.
Engine, Drivetrain – All numbers matching. At about 76,000miles I had Auto Finishers of Rochester rebuild the engine .030 over with Edelbrock heads, cam and manifold, headers and a Pypes true dual exhaust. Transmission and gears are still factory stock. Original factory heads, intake manifold and exhaust manifolds come with it. It has a real nice punch when you floor it.  Turns 2250 – 2750 rpm at highway speeds65 – 75, so it is very comfortable to cruise in. 100% reliable. Turn the key, it will start.
Exterior – It has bumps and bruises indicative of a 40-year-old car but no significant rot, dents or  imperfections. Considered a strong number 2 quality. T-Tops good shape
Interior – carpets, dash, console, arm rest excellent. Seats show wear at the entry and exit point. No rips or tears. Dash needs a new plastic gauge cover for the gas and amp gauges. Door skins are very good condition. The faux chrome beading is pealing.
Tires -  good.
Car is available in Rochester, NY for viewing. I will also take to a local mechanic of your choice for inspection. Local pick-up, or I will work with any trucking company you hire. AC - everything is there. Blower motor and fan work fine. Does not blow cold. I only drive it with the T-tops off so I have never addressed it.
