I’ll start with a few words on the car’s history. First off, there is no salvage title brand. Based on the Carfax, the AutoCheck history is incorrect. The title is clear, and Carfax shows no salvage designation. There was some damage reported in May 2000. Based on a previous sale write up I found on the internet it was the passenger fender that was dented. This car started off in California so no rust proofing was applied and the floor plan is exceptionally clean (see photo). It spent its first 17 years in California and interesting enough was stolen twice in 1992. In 2000 it made its way to Oregon and spent about 14 years up there. There was an owner during that time that put some mechanical and aesthetic work into the car, (based on same write up cited earlier). My guess is this may be the same person that documented the vehicle on the Pace Car registry circa 2004.
The owner before me pulled out all the stops restoring the exterior. He had Bay Area Body Shop in the Houston area do a full repaint and decal application. The job was top notch. Any previous dings, dents, or scratches were properly corrected leaving a better than new finish. I purchased the car in April 2019 with around 48,200 miles shown on the odometer. From the Carfax, it is a roll over, but 4,000 miles a year over the last 38 years isn’t bad and the interior and exterior show as a much lower miles car.
The interior quality mirrors the exceptional exterior. I pulled everything out when I got the car. The front seats were previously recovered and are in nice shape. The rear seats are original with some signs of wear but wasn’t bad enough to warrant additional work. Here is a list of the other improvements I made:

5.Period correct dash (extremely hard to find in good shape)
6.Bluetooth audio system with amp, and four new speakers

8.Hook up for pace car orange light for car shows (included with sale)
9.New window and door lock switches (old ones were faded)
10.Rebuilt retractors and all new seatbelt webbing by Safety Restore
Mechanically speaking, the car has certainly been maintained over the years. Based on how well the Crossfire runs, I’d guess that its not the original fuel pump and the whole set up has been previously adjusted by some who knew what they were doing. I have put around 1,000 miles on the car and its run great. Nothing odd or unusual going down the road. I routinely had the car up to highway speeds with no issue. Over the past two years I made following updates:
1.Replacement hood liner

3.New rear brakes
4.All new Original Air R134 AC system – new evaporator, accumulator, hoses, condenser, and compressor
5.Rear end fluid change
6.Replacement seals on transmission
7.Rear main seal, oil pan seal and timing cover seal
8.New power steering pump
9.Plugs, wires, and distributor
10.Steering gear box (quick ratio)
11.Steering brace
12.Shocks and Struts
13.New reservoir tanks (washer and radiator)
There is a lot of memorabilia that comes with the car including posters, press release, race day program, and a rare diecast model toy still in the package.
